Passport services - requirements & details
GENERAL INFORMATION
Applicant has to submit the Passport application with relevant documents, along with his/her original Indian Passport at the BLS center (Applicant`s presence is mandatory).
Tourists who have lost or damaged their passport could be considered for an emergency certificate (EC). An EC is a one-way travel document valid only for one return trip back to India and is issued after the Consulate General of India is satisfied Considering Indian nationality. Once applicant is back to India he/she can approach the same passport office where his/her passport was issued, produce the EC to the passport issuing authorities for the issuance of a duplicate passport.
As and when an Indian National obtains a foreign nationality, he / she is not entitled to retain his / her Indian Passport and has to surrender his / her passport for cancellation.
Service Charge
In addition to the Passport fee, below mentioned charges will be chargeable (per application):
BLS Service Charge- SAR 2
Delivery Charge- SAR 30
SMS charge- SAR 1

- Wherever a Sworn Affidavit is required, applicants are advised to approach the Consulate and get an affidavit, and thereafter visit the BLS Indian Visa and Passport application center to submit the application.
- Similarly, in outstations centers, Applicants needs to get the “sworn affidavit” from the Consular tour teams and thereafter visit the BLS Indian Visa and Passport application center to submit the application.
